HINTS FROM THE HEN HOUSE - EARTH DAY

We couldn't write the April newsletter without acknowledging Earth Day. Flowers are celebrated every day here at Sun Prairie Flowers but Earth Day is a time to bring attention to the importance of nature as it goes hand in hand with the beauty of blooms.

🌿 Nature’s Beauty – Flowers are a vibrant representation of the Earth’s biodiversity. Their colors, fragrances, and delicate structures remind us of the natural wonders we must protect.

🌱 Pollinators & Ecosystems – Flowers play a crucial role in sustaining ecosystems by attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Without flowers many other crops and plants would fail to prosper.

🌎 Sustainability & Conservation – Earth Day promotes environmental awareness, and flowers are a great way to engage with sustainability. Choosing locally grown, seasonal, or organic flowers helps reduce the carbon footprint of imported blooms.

🌻 Planting for the Planet – Supporting biodiversity by planting on Earth Day is a great way to celebrate the planet and beautiful blooms.

MEET OUR FLOWERS - ALYSA

Every Monday, Sun Prairie Flowers is a little brighter thanks to Alysa, our amazing accountant. With over 15 years of experience, she keeps our bookkeeping in order while bringing an energy that makes even spreadsheets feel fun. Referred to Sun Prairie Flowers by Terry at MBE Accounting, Alysa was part of the business when we took over, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her.

Beyond her keen eye for numbers, Alysa fills the shop with laughter, fun stories, and a little sparkle. She’s the perfect mix of precision and playfulness, making Mondays something to look forward to. Her dedication and warmth remind us that a business isn’t just about balancing the books. It’s about the people who make it special.

We’re lucky to have Alysa on our team, and we appreciate all she does to keep us blooming!
